Today we enter the Holy Week facing a different perspective. Let us concentrate our reflections not into the sins of the world and its horrible consequences for Jesus and for us... but let us meet God's Mercifulness, meeting the One who loves us as no one ever did before. God is our Abba taking always, our side. Not because we deserve Him, but because God is good.
In this day we are invited to look at Jesus mission not as an event in a far region and in an old past, but into our present time: here and now, in USA in Oakland.
We are celebrating Jesus entering Jerusalem. He has decided to celebrate Easter... the liberation from slavery in Egypt...But in fact he was initiating a new Easter, as a liberation of the slavery of our time: fear, insecurity, violence, drugs, war...
Jesus sent the Apostles before him to prepare the commemorations of the old Easter while. Sent them to Jerusalem, and send us to our world where to be leaven, ferment, salt and light of God... and to transform everything in a new creation, the Reign.
